With over 30 years of experience, this seasoned entrepreneur and venture capitalist has built a career at the intersection of technology, life sciences, and energy innovation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and later pursued graduate studies at Stanford University. He co-founded Silicon Architects, where he helped pioneer the Cell-Based Array (CBA) methodology in structured ASIC design, and was part of the founding team at Actel Corporation, contributing to the advancement of FPGA technologies. In 2002, he transitioned into venture capital, becoming a Managing Director at Presidio Partners (formerly CMEA Capital), where he has led and supported investments in breakthrough companies across energy storage, clean tech, and advanced materials.

He currently serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board at InoBat Auto, Chairman of the Board at Our Next Energy (ONE), and a Board Member at both Ascend Elements and Wildcat Discovery Technologies—companies focused on next-generation battery solutions and energy systems. In addition to his corporate roles, he has served on the board of the Silicon Valley Education Foundation for a decade, including seven years as Chairman. He is also a frequent lecturer at Stanford and UC Berkeley on venture capital, innovation ecosystems, and global entrepreneurship.
